Rediscover Who You Are

Kintsukuroi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. Sometimes people feel broken or alone and beginning a process of healing can be difficult. Therapy helps people to find their broken pieces and put them back together in ways that make them stronger and more “beautiful.”

Therapy involves you and me joining together to achieve your therapeutic goals. Therapy has the potential to help you better understand yourself and how you experience the world. Recovery from substance use disorders, trauma, bipolar disorder and depression, and anxiety disorders requires rediscovering who you truly are; coping skills help, but are not enough. I believe human connection is essential to healing from our past or to figure out our present and future. We all carry something with us that we would like to let go of or to change in some way, while still honoring our personal experiences. This is central to the way I help people. I can help you to empower yourself to make the positive changes you need. I specialize in the treatment of substance use disorders, trauma, mood disorders, and personality disorders by utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existential Therapy and Parts and Memory Therapy.
